SAMNIC MOOC is an open online free Internet course on the safety assessment and management for new and innovative children’s products. SAMNIC MOOC offers a global vision about children’s products safety.
This course is perfect as a first approach towards children’s products safety, as it will give you a broad perspective of all the aspects to take into account when we talk about products used by children, no matter if you are a designer, engineer, architect, purchasing manager, distributor, quality technician or if you work in the public administration (consumption) or if you are in charge of the playground areas of your town or city.
You are free to take the complete course or only modules of interest (toys, childcare articles, playgrounds).
The consortium of the SAMNIC project, coordinated by the Technological Institute for Children's Products & Leisure, AIJU (Spain), is formed by the Czech Association for Toy and Play, SHH (the Czech Republic); the University of Alicante, UA (Spain); the European Association for Coordination of Consumer Representation in Standardisation, ANEC (Belgium), and the Università Degli Studi Di Padova, UniPd, (Italy).
This project has been funded with support from the European Commission. This publication [communication] reflects the views only of the author, and the Commission cannot be held responsible for any use which may be made of the information contained therein.
SAMNIC is not intended to cover the safety of products intended for children with special needs/disabilities. The SAMNIC team acknowledges the difficulties of addressing safety for these children and the need for specialist training in the field.
